PlumbWorks is led by Slade Strydom, a Somerset West local who learned his trade the hard way, on site. Before going out on his own, Slade ran full plumbing sites for a construction company, working on high-end homes, hospitals and large residential developments, where standards are high and there is no room for shortcuts. He earned his Red Seal qualification, the mark of a fully qualified plumber.

Those years gave him a deep grounding in his craft and a real respect for doing things properly. In early 2026 he founded PlumbWorks to carry that same standard into his own work, with honesty and real care for the people he works for. Guided by a strong personal faith and a simple belief in doing right by others, he treats every home he works in as if it were his own.

Whether it is a full bathroom renovation, a new installation, or a repair that needs doing right the first time, the aim is always the same. Go the extra mile, deliver exactly what the client needs, and leave behind quality work they can rely on. For larger projects, Slade works alongside experienced mentors in the industry, giving PlumbWorks the capacity and backing to take on bigger jobs with confidence.
